Shree Narayan Singh to remake Amitabh Bachchan’s classic ‘Shakti’?

With a number of classic films being given a modern twist, there are now plans to give the 1982 classic ‘Shakti’ a modern twist.

SpotBoye reports that Harish Sugandh has rumoured to have approached ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’ director, Shree Narayan Singh to helm the project, which originally starred Dilip Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan.

The report adds that Sugandh has the IPR of ‘Shakti’, courtesy he and the late producer of Shakti, Mushir Riaz (who passed away 6 months ago) being close family friends.

Bachchan could star in the multi-starrer, in a pivotal role. The film revolves around a father and son, who don’t get along due to their history.

Sugandh told the publication, “Nothing concrete yet. 99 per cent no. In fact I may make something that I picked up in Delhi recently. Aap likhna mat varna baat bigad sakti hai.”
