Shree Narayan Singh confirms Shahid Kapoor for next after ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’

Shahid Kapoor and director Shree Narayan Singh will bring the much talked about ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ to screens this September, and even before the schedule of the same wraps up, Kapoor and Singh are already collaborating on a new film. Singh says this story is one that has not been attempted before.

Confirming the reports of him and Kapoor working together, Singh said, “The story is based in the heartland of India. Once the script is ready we will decide when to go on the floors but it will be in 2019 as Shahid has to fulfill all prior commitments as well before starting my film. I can promise that it’s a story no one has attempted before and we are planning it in great detail. Shahid and I are friends now and share a certain comfort level and we luckily found the perfect script,” as according to Mirror.

The film’s leading lady is yet to be cast.
