Shraddha Kapoor to replace Nargis Fakhri in ‘Shaukeen’?

After yesterday’s news break that Nargis Fakhri decided to part ways from the ‘Shaukeen’ (1982) remake due to a Hollywood project, Shraddha Kapoor is expected to replace her.

“Talks are on with Shraddha but nothing is finalised,” sources told Press Trust of India, without divulging any further information. Abhishek Sharma will direct the film. Akshay Kumar will play the male lead, while Annu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal and Anupam Kher will be reprising the roles of the three old men.

‘Shaukeen’ remake is scheduled to go on the floors next month. Fakhri decided to opt out of the project last-minute leaving the makers of the film in a lurch. An official announcement on the new actress will be made soon.
