Shraddha Kapoor to begin ‘Stree’ prequel prep in August?

2018’s ‘Stree’ starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao did well with the audiences and a new instalment was talked about very quickly. It’s thought it will be the prequel and rumour has it that Kapoor will be starting work on it in August.

“Expanding the universe further, the team is now working on the second parts of these movies to establish the lead characters before they start crossing paths in each other’s stories. Vijan’s next film in the MHCU tells the backstory of the girl who came to Stree and the complications she brought along. It’s a prequel to ‘Stree’ and will see Shraddha reprising her role from the 2018 sleeper hit,” a source told Peeping Moon.

The director for the prequel will apparently be Marathi filmmaker Aditya Sarpotdar.
