Shraddha Kapoor may have been popularly known as Shakti Kapoor�۪s daughter until recently but the actress has now managed to build a name for herself.�� Though she spent many days of her childhood on film sets, aspiring to be an actress, Kapoor says she is not a typical industry kid as she has faced a struggle many star kids do not.
���Even today people are assuming that I have got these offers because I am Shakti Kapoor�۪s daughter.�� It is easier for them to think like that of a complete outsider all these years and I love that!�� The fact that I have not had a typical star child-like debut is my strength.�� I am glad that I am not a typical industry kids��_ I have lost count of how many films I have auditioned for, how many times I have been rejected,� the actress told Cine Blitz.
Kapoor debuted with ��Teen Pati�۪ (2010) and later went on to signing an exclusive contract with Yash Raj Films.�� However, her career did not seem to be going in the direction of her dreams, which was when she decided to break free from her contract with YRF.
It was with Mohit Suri�۪s ��Aashiqui 2�۪ (2013) that the actress turned into an overnight star.
