Shoulder injury prevents Ranveer Singh performing at IPL opening ceremony?

Ranveer Singh who is not only an international brand ambassador for UK football team Arsenal, Singh is also a keen football player himself, but in a recent match he injured his shoulder.

Reported on Pinkvilla, the ‘Padmaavat’ (2018) star was currently in preparation to perform at this year IPL opening ceremony, but with a shoulder injury this may not now happen. The ‘Befikre’ (2016) actors spokesperson gave this statement, “Ranveer Singh has injured his shoulder during a football match and has been advised not to over strain it for at least 1 month. Ranveer is, however, not taking any breaks and will continue shooting for Gully Boy as per schedule. Ranveer is in consultation with the doctors who will advice him, in a day or two, on whether he would able to perform at this year’s IPL opening ceremony in which he is doing the finale act.”

If Singh does go ahead with his performance, it has been reported that he will be paid Rs. 5 crore for his.

‘Gully Boy’, which is directed by Zoya Akhtar is slated for release in February 2019. Though prior to that, Singh who is also starring in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Simmba’, is slated to release first in December 2018.
