Shoojit Sircar no longer a part of John Abraham’s ‘1911’?

With the success of ‘Vicky Donor’ (2012) and ‘Madras Cafe’ (20130, John Abraham and Shoojit Sircar seem to have one of the best working relationships in the business. When they announced that they would be working on their third project based on a football legend titled ‘1911’, everyone had been waiting in anticipation as to what the partnership would bring on screen again. However, recent news reveals that though the film is going ahead, Abraham will now be working with Nikhil Advani instead of his pal Sircar.

As Deccan Chronicle reports, the news of Sircar’s replacement with Advani has sparked off speculation that there seems to be a rift in the friendship. Where the original project was to have Abraham and Sircar co-producing the film with Ayushmann Khurrana as the lead, it will now be made with Advani behind the camera and Abraham in front of it.

Further news suggests that Khurrana had even got his national level playing brother on board the project to help the authenticity of the character and the story.
