‘Shobha Somnath Ki’ faces axe on ZEE TV?

ZEE TV’s troubled costume drama ‘Shobha Somnath Ki’ is under the scanner and could face the axe in the coming days.

According to TellyBuzz, ‘Shobha Somnath Ki’ could end by mid-February and the tentative date for its last telecast is 19th of this month.

The show was an instant replacement for ‘Jhansi Ki Rani’, which fared extremely well for the channel but reached its natural end in July last year. ‘Shobha Somnath Ki’, which started off as a daily show was shifted to weekends but has unable to pick up any decent ratings.

ZEE TV has been reviewing its output and has plans to spruce up its weekend offerings and get aggressive about its weekday primetime slots.
