Shivangi Joshi’s ‘Our Own Sky’ headed for digital release

Shivangi Joshi was all set to promote her debut film ‘Our Own Sky’ at Cannes this year. However, the cancellation of the film festival has put a dent in the plan, pushing the makers to release the film on a streaming platform.

Producer Mohammad Nagaman Lateef spoke about the setback with SpotBoyE, “People would have got to see only photos of Shivangi, Aditya (Khurana) and Asifa (Haque) maybe if we’d gone to Cannes. The film would have never got screens here like Hina Khan’s ‘Lines’ (2019) did. So now our POA is to re-edit the film and make it to a length of about 45 minutes, so that it is suited for OTT.”

Khurana, the male lead of ‘Our Own Sky’, is hopeful about the release “I feel it’s good thing that OOS is going to release online. I am sure it will be a good hit. It has a kind of content that has been never shown on OTT.”
