Shilpa Shetty respects women who choose children over career

As the world becomes more and more evolved, the subject of women having to juggle between their careers and having a family is becoming something of the past. However, it’s not to say that many women still choose to leave their careers to have children, which is exactly what actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra did. Now working part time she seems extremely happy with her decision, and wouldn’t have it any other way.

“A lot of women give up their careers for their children as their children take precedence. I have a lot of respect for those women. Some women don�۪t have that choice and balance their family and their work. It�۪s your personal choice. It also depends on how much you can do. I made a choice to be part time professional and a full time mom,”��Hindustan Times reported the actress stating.

Taken up the job of being a a judge on a reality dance show, the actress-turned-producer went on to talk about her own experiences of being a mother. “You can�۪t switch off. That is the most challenging part of being a mother. I might be sitting here but I am thinking about what my son doing. Is he building Lego or getting ready for his class. Wherever you are, you are thinking of your child. The most beautiful part of being a mother is that the love is unconditional,” she expressed.

She went on to add, “The most important job is of me being a mother. That is a full time job. The rest is incidental and keeps coming and going. I feel privileged and lucky to be able to do so much. My husband is encouraging me constantly and my son is supportive. That�۪s how we balance out. This is the best phase of my life.”

Looks like Shetty Kundra is all about the family-career balance life, where some would say she’s actually doing it all.
