Shilpa Shetty Kundra to make film comeback with ‘Nikamma’

After a 13-year hiatus, Shilpa Shetty Kundra has confirmed her comeback film ‘Nikamma’.

The actress, who is regularly seen on television as the judge on Sony Entertainment Television’s popular reality show ‘Super Dancer’, has been lined up for a meaty role in the Sabbir Khan directorial. The film also stars Abhimanyu Dassani of ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota’ fame and famous YouTube singer Shirley Sethia.

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty once ruled the big screen and made a mark with her films back in the 90’s. However, the actress was last seen acting in the 2007 film Apne and only appeared in a few cameo appearances after that. She was recently on the judging panel of a dance-based reality show. The actress recently gave her fans a big surprise and has announced her Bollywood comeback after 13 long years with the film Nikamma.

Kundra took to social media to confirm the news. She said, “Yesssssssss, it’s true! My sabbatical of 13 long years comes to an end.. I am so excited to announce that the film you will see me next in is #Nikamma, directed by @sabbir24x7 (cast still being finalised) featuring these amazing and talented actors @abhimanyud @shirleysetia @sonypicturesin. Need all your blessings and Thank you for all the love always.”

She also told a leading publication, “It feels great. I am ready to take the plunge again. It’s a refreshing and unique project, and I am looking forward to working with Sabbir. I loved my role as it’s something that I have never attempted before. I can’t wait for the audience to see me in a new avatar.”
