Shilpa Shetty, actress-turned-businesswoman, has landed into legal trouble after the Kolkata Police registered a fraud case against her. A city based company has alleged that the actress persuaded them to invest Rs. 9 crore in her company.

According to IANS, the police revealed that a case has been registered against Shilpa Shetty and Ripu Sudan Kundra of Bandra based Essential Sports Private Ltd. (ESPL) on a complaint registered at the Shakespeare Sarani Police Station by MK Media Private Ltd’s representative Debashis Guha.

“This is a court cognizance case and the police has already begun probe into it,” confirmed a senior police official of Kolkata Police.
