Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani starrer ‘Shershaah’ won the Dadasaheb Phalke International Awards 2022 for the best film. Directed by Vishnuvaradhan, ‘Shershaah’ is based on the life of Param Vir Chakra awardee Vikram Batra, who laid down his life in the service of the nation while recapturing Indian territories from Pakistani intruders during the Kargil War in 1999. The film, which was released on Amazon Prime Video on 12 August 2021, was hailed by everyone.

The film was produced by Dharma Productions who has had an upward-moving curve of success, especially in the OTT space. ‘Sooryavanshi’, ‘Shershaah’, ‘Guilty’, ‘Meenakshi Sundareshwar’, Fabulous Lives of Bollywood wives, are few of the hits the production house gave out in 2021.

This includes for Best Film (Shershaah), Best Actor (Critics Choice – Sidharth Malhotra in Shershaah), Best Actress (Critics Choice – Kiara Advani for Shershaah) and Best Actor (People’s Choice – Abhimanyu Dassani for Meenakshi Sundareshwar).

With a line-up like ‘The Fame Game’, ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’, ‘Liger’, ‘Brahmastra’, ‘Yodha’, etc we are sure there is no stopping Dharma Productions from taking over the No.1 place in the movie-making business.
