Shekhar Kapur wants to direct daughter

Shekhar Kapur wants to direct his daughter if she decided to turn to acting. Kaveri Kapur is already a musician and is yet to enter into the world of movies.

The director has said he believes his young 16 year old daughter is gifted and is waiting for the day she says she would like to try acting. “If she would let me I would like to direct her…if she trusts me”, said Kapur as reported in Deccan Chronicle.

However the young budding star is still enjoying her music and is also aware of the emotional aspects of being directed by her talented father. “It is easier to be directed by the people you don’t know. I know my dad — I know for a fact that it will be hard for him to criticise me if he directs me”, said the singer.

Mother, actress Suchitra Krishnamurthy, has also said her daughter was initially reluctant to try acting but has gained confidence. Kapur has already released three singles which have all been well received.

No doubt film-goers are eager to see this new bundle of talent on screen.
