Sonakshi Sinha is busy nowadays shooting for A.R Murugadoss’ upcoming film ‘Akira’ which is not a remake of a Telugu film but the filmmaker’s first ever original Hindi film script. Reports are that Sonakshi’s actor-father Shatrughan Sinha is also part of the venture and will be seen playing her reel dad in ‘Akira’. This will be for the first time when Sonakshi has come together for a film with father, however the irony is that they will not be seen sharing a single frame in the film .
A source close to the development confirmed the same, and told Absolute India, “When Murugadoss approached Shotgun, and the actor was told he played the film’s lifeline. Shatru plays Sonakshi’s father in Akira. But his character dies while Sonakshi’s character is a still a child. So, all of his scenes are with the child actor playing Sona’s childhood avatar. Later on, his voice serves as a guiding force in Sona’s life. But they never come together face-to-face.”
On the other hand, Shatrughan while talking to a daily said that both father and daughter not sharing a single scene in the film will not go well with the audience. The source added, “Shatru feels there should be at least one sequence featuring Sonakshi and him together. Efforts are on to write such a scene into the script.”
Well, let’s see if the filmmaker brings father-daughter together for a scene or not.
