Shamita Shetty looking to act on TV

After participating in ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’, Shamita Shetty was hoping to restore her acting career in the film industry. However, things did not go as planned for the actress, and she is now looking for acting offers on the small screen.

Absolute India‘s Agencies quote Shetty as saying, “I think for now I am done with reality shows to be very honest. Fiction is something that I am looking at but not the typical saas bahu (type). I can’t relate to that zone. But I think TV is experimenting with a lot of new stuff so I am hoping for something new and nice to come through.”

After being launched by Aditya Chopra with ‘Mohabbatein’ (2000), Shetty’s Bollywood career unfortunately failed to take off and she has only been seen in a handful of films in the past decade and half.
