Shakun Batra rubbishes rumours on next with Sidharth-Alia

BizAsiaLive.com reported a while ago that Shakun Batra, who directed Sidhath Malhotra and Alia Bhatt in last year’s ‘Kapoor and Sons’ was hoping to bring the alleged real-life couple together once more in a future project. However, Batra has denied any truth to this speculation.

Batra commented, according to Deccan Chronicle, “No, it’s not true at all; it’s mere gossip. I’m currently writing my next script, and it would be unfair to me to talk about anyone’s attachment to the project before the script is complete and shared with the actor officially.”

Talking further about Batra’s film, a Dharma Productions source added, “Shakun’s film has brought more acclaim to Dharma than anything from the banner. He now has a responsibility towards himself, and towards the production house, which has nurtured his talent”.
