Shakti Kapoor on Shraddha Kapoor’s wedding plans

At a time where getting married is no longer seen as an end of an actress’ career, the topic seems to be more spoken about than ever before. However, keeping with tradition there’s always much speculation as to what the parents feel, however, if they’re anything like Shakti Kapoor, it seems the outcome will be a positive one.

When catching up with the media, Kapoor was asked how he would feel if his daughter Shraddha were to get married. “Every father wants that his daughter to get married in a good and respected family. I wish that she grows in her personal and professional life, but I think as a parent, you have to give some kind of liberty to your children because now that period is gone when parents used to marry their children (to a person) of their choice,” Times of India reports the actor expressing.

He went on to add, “Now, we have to ask them about their choices in terms of everything, including their life partners. She is right now very busy in her career, but whenever she will tell us about her marriage plans, she will marry a man of her own choice and we don’t have any objection with that.”

Talking about his daughter’s career, she is currently in the midst of her forthcoming Saina Nehwal biopic, as well as other projects she has lined up. When talking about how well she’s doing, Kapoor doted on how well she is doing, as he said, “Shraddha will play the character of Saina Nehwal. She has trained with Saina in Hyderabad and now, she is continuing her training. Apart from that, she will also head to Abu Dhabi to shoot for ‘Saaho’ along with Prabhas. She is also working with Rajkummar Rao in ‘Stree’ and ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’… So, I am really happy that she is working in every genre of films at this point in her career.”

If this is anything to go by, whomever junior Kapoor decides to tie the knot with, they might have an easier ride when it comes to impressing his future father in law.
