Shakti Kapoor tried to evade answering on the Tanushree Dutta and Nana Patekar controversy at a media event recently by saying that he was a ‘chhota bachcha’ ten years ago and got a lot of flack for it. However, when it comes to talking about his daughter, actress Shraddha Kapoor, the proud father isn’t afraid to keep quiet.
The actor said that not just Shraddha, but also his son, Siddhanth is free to pick their own partners, reports Times of India.
Shakti was asked if he has started looking for a groom for his daughter and he replied saying that these days children fix their own wedding. Shraddha, he added, has been educated in the US, knows every pooja by heart, follows tradition and is also, an independent girl.
Shakti also reportedly said that he had no issues if his children went for a love marriage as he himself had one. As a Punjabi, he married Shivangi, a Maharashtrian.
