Shahid Kapoor to star in Hindi remake of ‘Addhuri’?

Shahid Kapoor is gearing up for the release of his forthcoming film, ‘R… Rajkumar’. However, the latest buzz suggests that he is favourite to star in the Hindi remake of Kannada film ‘Addhuri’ (2012).

The actor himself has apparently shown an interest to be a part of the film. Arjun, who directed ‘Addhuri’ spoke to a leading daily to confirm Kapoor’s desire, “Stunt master��Ravi Verma is a very close friend of mine. He recently worked on Shahid’s upcoming film with Prabhudheva,��R… Rajkumar, during which they spoke about films and the Kannada industry. Ravi then showed Shahid my film, and he was apparently impressed with the film and said that he would like to do a film like this. There has been no other development.”

‘Addhuri’ did well when it released last year with two debutantes, Dhruva Sarja and Radhika Pandit. It falls in the romantic genre and no doubt if the Bollywood version stars Kapoor, it would be good to see him return to his loverboy characters.
