There has been news lately that Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Arjun Reddy’ had to have its scheduled altered to fit in the fact that his wife is due to have their second child. Now, it’s emerged that Kapoor is due to take paternity leave next month.

“Shahid will take a few weeks off in mid-September after he wraps up the first schedule of Arjun Reddy, to spend time with Mira, Misha and the newborn,” said a source, according to Mid-Day. Not only that, the actor will be staying in Mumbai to promote ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ which is his next directed by Shree Narayan Singh.

The source further said, “Shahid had been by their side when the film ran into trouble owing to one of its former producers. This is their way of reciprocating his dedication. The makers have decided against having city tours as part of the promotional plan”.

Producer Bhushan Kumar also supported Kapoor, “Shahid is a committed actor who believes in striking a balance between his personal and professional life. Being a parent is a special feeling. It is important that we make time for those closest to us. I understand Shahid’s need to be by his wife’s side at such a time”.
