Shahid Kapoor signs three-film deal with ZEE Studios?

Shahid Kapoor seems to be riding high on the success of ‘Padmaavat’ (2018). It should come as no surprise that the actor has apparently signed a three-film deal with ZEE Studios.

Kapoor is part of a rare deal especially when production houses aren’t looking to commit to just one actor. A source spoke to Asian Age, “This deal means that the studio has invested in what it sees to be a potential superstar. The amount paid to the actor will increase as he completes each of the three films. From Shahid’s point of view, it’s a win. He charged Rs. 12 crore for his last film, Batti Gul Meter Chalu, and this three-film deal consolidates his position among the lot of rising superstars including Ranbir Kapoor and Varun Dhawan”.

Kapoor is yet to finish his part of ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’, directed by Shree Narayan Singh. He will then move on to the Hindi remake of ‘Arjun Reddy’ (2017).
