Shahid Kapoor on shooting intimate scenes in ‘Rangoon’

Controversy are part and parcel of film promotion activities now to gain more screen time.  However Shahid Kapoor has maintained a dignified response following Kangna Ranaut’s impolite remarks on shooting intimate scenes with him for ‘Rangoon’.  Reports have been doing the rounds following various statements the two actors have made on the much talked about mud-scene where they make love but Kapoor has deflected further controversy by focussing on the difficult circumstances of the shoot.

According to DNA India, Kapoor is quoted as saying “Shooting in the mud was the most difficult thing to do in the entire film. Upar se, it was a lovemaking scene where we had to kiss and make out. Our clothes would become so heavy because of the mud smeared all over us that it was simply disgusting.  I would recommend others to never try this.”

Kapoor apparently also became ill after shooting this scene and was unable to shoot for ten days as his health had deteriorated.  However the ever professional actor credited director Vishal Bhardwaj’s cinematic flair and implored that audiences would have to see the scene in its full context to fully understand the director’s vision.
