Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Kabir Singh’ (2019) has been dominating the box office and simultaneously sparking a lot of conversations about the controversial nature of the film. Kapoor shares how it was wife Mira Kapoor who encouraged him to take on the role.
Reported by TOI, the ‘Rangoon’ (2017) star shared how his wife felt “very optimistic” about the film and added she thought it was a character that Kapoor should have under his filmography.
Kapoor further added that they had both watched the original Tamil film, ‘Arjun Reddy’ (2017) together, which following on from that Kapoor’s wife saw the character had potential and said if delivered correctly it would make for a “very special character.”
Of course it’s a thumbs up from the mother of two, who is “very happy” after watching the film. ‘Kabir Singh’ (2019) has so far collected an estimated Rs 233 crore in just three weeks.
