Shahid Kapoor refuses award ceremonies this year

Shahid Kapoor has chosen to stay away from award ceremonies this year due to his filming commitments.

The actor who usually is quite active at events had to reject several offers. A source told Times Of India, “Shahid is a great dancer, which is why every year he is approached by various award organizers. However this year Shahid refused all the offers he got from the beginning itself. Shahid is very busy shooting and is running on a choc-o-block schedule.”

Kapoor is currently working on two films – Rajkumar Santoshi’s ‘Phata Poster Nikla Hero’ and Prabhu Deva’s ‘Rambo Rajkumar’.

The source added, “Shahid has been shooting every single day for the last few months, and he didn’t want the rhythm to break. More than performing, Shahid could not extract enough time to rehearse and thus he preferred to take a back seat.”
