Shahid Kapoor on keeping ‘Kabir Singh’ “fresh”

‘Kabir Singh’ is a remake of Telugu film ‘Arjun Reddy’ and Shahid Kapoor has recently spoken about how the Hindi makers are looking to keep it fresh for the audiences.

“We are trying to make it as honest and as raw as it was. Not trying to change anything for the sake of it. We are rediscovering it. Of course the way we do it, there’ll be some differences. It’s a good thing because we want to give an experience to people where they don’t say ‘Oh, we’ve seen this before.’ It must be fresh.”, said the actor, talking to PTI.

“Creating a remake is damn tough. You have loved it for what it was but you can’t go out there and copy it. It has to be a rediscovery,” he further added.

Kapoor will be seen sharing the screen with Kiara Advani for the first time in the film.
