Rumours of actor Shahid Kapoor signing various films have been doing the rounds lately. The ‘Kaminey’ (2009) actor clears up the air.

When Tamil film ‘Vettai’ (2012) released earlier this year and went on to become a success at the box office there was talk Kapoor would star in the Hindi remake.

Kapoor spoke to Times Of India to clarify the rumours surrounding the film, “I have been approached for the film, but I have not said yes to it. But I saw the film and thoroughly enjoyed it”.

There was also buzz that Kapoor will feature in a Dharma Productions venture opposite Deepika Padukone, saying, “Even I read about it in the media. It was in fact news to me. We haven’t even spoken about the film,” says the actor.

There was also talk of Sasha being miffed that his role in ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2’ (2013) went to Imran Khan, “Well, they did approach me for the film, but unfortunately I couldn’t do it. I am glad Imran is doing the film and I wish him all the best”.

Currently Kapoor has a film each with Maneesh Sharma and Bejoy Nambiar. He will also star in Prabhudeva’s next ‘Namak’ (2013).

His just released ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’ (2012) opened to mixed reviews, with the film faring better in the overseas territories.
