Talented director of 2008’s ‘A Wednesday’, NeerajPandey,is on to his next project after a gap of four years. The venture will star none other than Shahid Kapoor in what will be the first role he has encountered as a policeman.
The film is currently untitled and a source revealed to Hindustan Times, “Shahid, for the first time ever, will be seen in a police uniform in this film. This also makes him the first male star from the young generation to play a cop. He۪s working towards getting into the skin of his character now”.
“The anticipation of seeing Shahid as a cop gets doubled when Neeraj is added to the mix. He is known for making films in this genre with great aesthetics,” the source continued.
Kapoor’s list offorthcoming movies sure seem very different to the image he has created in recent times of himself. One can only hope he now chooses the right films and does the kind of cinema that makes the most of his acting talent. He will be seen opposite Sonakshi Sinha in ‘Namak’ and also with Ileana D’Cruz in ‘Phata Poster Nikla Hero’.
