Shahid Kapoor: “I have done some really crappy films”

In the midst of his recent release ‘Kabir Singh’ (2019), Shahid Kapoor spoke to the media about his failures.

“I would erase ‘Shaandaar’ (2015) from my career trajectory if I could. No one from this generation of actors can claim that a bad film did well just because they were in it,” Mid-Day reports the actor stating.

He went on to add, “I think I have a very loyal fan following. And I thank them every day of my life. I have done some really crappy films.”

Kapoor’s co-star Kiara Advani also caught up with the media and talked about working with the actor for this project. “Despite having all these years of experience, Shahid is very much like a child on set, wanting to better every take and trying to better himself. It’s not ‘I know it all’ attitude. I was comfortable enough to tell Shahid, ‘Please do another take, because I think you can do it better than this’.”

Currently showing in theatres, ‘Kàbir Singh’ is currently receiving rave reviews, with the film being Kapoor’s biggest opening yet.
