Shahid Kapoor claims he was not offered ‘XXX’

With rumours circulating of Shahid Kapoor turning down Ekta Kapoor and Ken Ghosh’s ‘XXX’, due to the fact that he wanted to avoid doing films of the erotic genre, the actor has gone on record to deny having even been offered the film.

Mid Day��quote Kapoor as saying, “I was never offered any such film.”

A source, allegedly close to the actor, claims that Kapoor was offered the film but is avoiding the genre. �� According to the source, all is well between the actor and director despite not working together again.

“When he has chosen projects like ‘Haider’ and ‘Shandaar’, why will he choose a semi-porn film? And everything is fine between them,” the source said.

It can be noted that director Ken Ghosh had launched Kapoor as an actor with ‘Ishq Vishk’ (2003) and was also the first director to pair the actor opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan, in ‘Fida’ (2004).

Kapoor is currently busy working on Abhishek Chaubey’s ‘Udta Punjab’, also an Ekta Kapoor production, which stars the actor alongside Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh.
