Shahid denies rift with Salman on Sony TV

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapur has denied that there is any sort of rift between him and fellow star Salman Khan on Sony Entertainment Television Asia’s show ‘Dus Ka Dum’.

Shahid, along with Rani Mukherjee were invited on the popular gameshow as promotion for their upcoming movie ‘Dil Bole Hadipa’. Rumours doing the rounds claim that while Rani was given a warm welcome on the show, Shahid was given a cold shoulder. Even during the actual game, apparently Salman was constantly encouraging Rani to perform better, but when it came to Shahid it was a very moderate reaction. Rumour mills have been working overtime to find out the reason behind this and speculate on what next.

Online portal, TellyChakkar managed to speak to Shahid himself about the rumour. “I don’t know how such things spread. Nothing like this happened on the show. This is completely untrue,” was the first reaction from the hero whose career is northbound after the critical mass acclaim of ‘Kaminey’. Shahid went on to vehemently deny all such rumours.

So then how is his rapport with Salman Khan? “Bhai (Salman) is a good friend of mine and I have immense respect for him. There is no reason why he would behave badly with me. In fact, he was very cordial with me on the sets of Dus Ka Dum. There is no rift between me and Salman Bhai,” says Shahid.

The special episode will be shown on Sony TV on Saturday 19th September. The current run of ‘Dus Ka Dum’ comes to an end on Saturday 10th October with a two-hour special featuring David Dhawan and Govinda (for promotion of their movie ‘Do Knot Disturb’)
