Shahid�۪s ���schizophrenic jump� from ��R��_ Rajkumar�۪ to ��Haider�۪
The year 2013 saw Shahid Kapoor consolidate his position as a star-actor with out-and-out commercial films like Rajkumar Santoshi�۪s ��Phata Poster Nikhla Hero�۪ and Prabhu Deva�۪s ��R��_ Rajkumar�۪.�� Thus, when it came to shooting for Vishal Bhardwaj�۪s ��Haider�۪, Kapoor was in for quite a surprise as the film was completely different to anything he had done in recent times.
���I started shooting for ��Haider�۪ a week after I completed ��R… Rajkumar�۪. ��It was a schizophrenic jump. ��In my first shot I step out of the car to take a look at my house. ��After it was canned, Vishal sir came up to me and simply said, “You don’t need to move your neck so much.” ��For me, it was a reality check ki beta this is a different kind of film and you need to underplay it. ��You become a star by default but it’s films like ��Haider�۪ that make you feel good about being an actor,� Kapoor said in an interview to Mumbai Mirror.
��Haider�۪, which also stars Shraddha Kapoor and Tabu, is slated for release during the Gandhi Jayanti holiday in India, on 2nd October.
