Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’ leaked online a day before its release

Despite Yash Raj Films’ request to avoid piracy, Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s much awaited film ‘Pathaan’ (2023) has leaked online.

Bollywood has battled piracy for quite some time now. And looks like the issue of piracy persists to haunt Indian filmmakers. Latest reports suggest that a pirated version of the Siddharth Anand Pathaan‘ has leaked and is available on two websites in India.

‘Pathaan’ is set for a global release across 100 countries and with over Rs. 5 lakh tickets sold on day one. In fact, YRF urged fans to say no to piracy and support the movie by watching the official version on the big screen. In a social media post, Yash Raj Films wrote, “All set for the biggest action spectacle? A humble request to everyone to refrain from recording any videos, sharing them online and giving out any spoilers. Experience Pathaan only in cinemas.” The team even went on to share an email id to report piracy on the same post.

Team ‘Pathaan’ decided to capture the audience a day prior to Indian Republic Day and scheduled a Wednesday release on January 25th in hope to have a long extended weekend to rake in extra moolah.
