Shah Rukh Khan’s digital project – a film?

Shah Rukh Khan is working on his upcoming digital project, which previously was reported to be a web-series. However, it has been revealed that it is in actual fact a digital movie.

The Asian Age reports that Khan has signed up to do a project on the class of ’83. Whilst many would think that its a world cup winning film, it’s not! The film is about a sharpshooters and encounter specialised trained by Mumbai police to handle terrorism in 1983.

The Asian Age reports a source saying, “From what we have heard, it is not going to be a web series but a film made exclusively for Netflix Originals. It is going to be mounted like a period drama in 1983 with multiple references to happening around that era. This is the time when Vasantdada Patil was the chief minister of Maharashtra and the references will all be around that time. There will be a reference to the ’83 world cup as well during one of the sequences.”

The report adds that it will be directed by Atul Sabharwal, who directed ‘Aurangzeb’ (2013).
