Shah Rukh Khan to take break from ‘King’ shoot to attend National Film Awards
Shah Rukh Khan is set to take a brief break from filming his upcoming action thriller ‘King’ to attend the 71st National Film Awards in New Delhi on 23rd September.
The actor, currently shooting in Poland with director Siddharth Anand, will return to India for the prestigious event, where he will receive the Best Actor award for his dual performance in ‘Jawan’.
This marks Khan’s first-ever National Award in a career spanning over three decades, making the occasion a significant milestone. The ceremony, held at Vigyan Bhawan, will be attended by President Droupadi Murmu, alongside fellow winners Vikrant Massey, Rani Mukerji, and Karan Johar.

Meanwhile, anticipation around ‘King’ continues to build. The film, co-starring Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, has already generated buzz following a leaked on-set photo showing the actor in a salt-and-pepper look with black glasses. Though initially slated for a 2026 release, recent reports suggest the film may be pushed to 2027.
