Rumour has it that Shah Rukh Khan could be making a return to STAR Plus in what may turn out to be the boldest shows on Indian television.
The channel is reportedly after King Khan to convince him to take the centrestage on the high profile international show ‘The Moment of Truth’.
In this American game show based on the Colombian Nada Ms Que La Verdad format (‘Nothing More than the Truth’), contestants have to answer a series of 21 increasingly personal and embarrassing questions to receive big cash prizes.
According to sources, “SRK has been approached and Star is hopeful that he will be giving his nod to the show.”
However, TellyChakkar has reported that producer of the show, Siddharth Basu, founder of Synergy Communications, saying, “To my knowledge Shah Rukh is not looking to host anything on TV in the foreseeable future. But you would need to check this with him.”
There are also reports that TV heartthrob Rajeev Khandelwal could be in line for the same job.
Shah Rukh Khan is unlikely to host future series of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ after STAR Plus decided to sell the show. The popular series may be screened on Sony Entertainment Television Asia instead.
