Shah Rukh Khan recently celebrated a span of 22 years in Indian cinema and what better way for that to be recognised than to be presented with the Legion of France, the highest distinction of the country, for his contribution.
The ‘Legion d’Honneur’ is awarded to French citizens and other foreign names and will be bestowed upon the actor next week by the French Foreign Minister, Laurent Fabius. The Minister will be travelling to Mumbai on 1st July and will be giving the award to Khan in person.
The award has previously been given to Amitabh Bachchan, Lata Mangeshkar and Satyajit Ray.
BizAsia congratulates Khan on such an honour and on marking 22 years in Bollywood.
