Shah Rukh Khan in talks with Sukumar for anti-hero role in upcoming film

Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly in discussions with filmmaker Sukumar, the creative force behind the Pushpa franchise, for an upcoming project.

According to a Mid-Day report, a source revealed, “King Khan will portray an anti-hero in a rural political action drama that promises to showcase him in a raw, rustic, and desi avatar. The film aims to blend his mass appeal with his global superstar image while also addressing social issues like caste and class oppression.”

However, if the project gets the green light, it may take some time before it goes into production due to the packed schedules of both Khan and Sukumar. The source added, “Sukumar has multiple commitments, including RC 17 with Ram Charan, Pushpa 3: The Rampage, and a romantic drama with Ram. Meanwhile, SRK is occupied with King and Pathaan 2. He has reportedly informed filmmakers eager to collaborate with him that they may have to wait at least two years before he can take on new projects. King is set to begin filming in May with a start-to-finish schedule.”
