Sessions court permits Rabia Khan to produce new documents in Jiah Khan’s case

The late Jiah Khan’s mother Rabia Khan has petitioned for her daughter’s justice since her 2013 suicide. She has received permission from a sessions court to bring documents that are in connection to Jiah’s suicide.

Asian Age reports that Rabia had filed an application to a trial judge for an summons to Blackberry India, for information from BBM communications between Jiah and actor Sooraj Pancholi, who has been accused of driving her to commit suicide. She requested communication from the day of the incident, along with previous correspondence. Rabia has also asked for the CBI to bring in call logs from Pancholi’s father Aditya, someone named Karan, and a servant named Deva. However, the CBI has rejected her application, as they say they have done their due diligence.

Jiah had made her Bollywood debut alongside Amitabh Bachchan in ‘Nishabd’ (2007).
