There are speculations that Varun Dhawan could be collaborating once again with father, David Dhawan and brother, Rohit Dhawan for a sequel to ‘Dishoom’ (2016), a cop-buddy comedy, which also starred John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez.
According to DNA India, a source shared the ‘Kalank’ (2019) actor’s brother has been working on the storyline, “Rohit has been working on multiple ideas for his next directorial for a while now. One of them was a plot that had the potential of taking the buddy-cop franchise forward. He recently narrated the first draft to Varun and Sajid, both of whom have green-lit the project.”
The source further added, “The film will be shot in India and abroad, and Rohit will go on a recce with his team early next year as he intends to take the film on the floors towards the second half of 2020.”
2020 is already looking set to be a big year for Dhawan, who is currently out promoting his forthcoming film with Shraddha Kapoor ‘Street Dancer 3D’, which is out in January 2020. And, also releasing later in the same year is another Dhawan production – ‘Coolie No.1’, featuring Sara Ali Khan.
