Sequel of ‘Pehredaar Piya Ki’ christened with new title

Earlier this week, the first look of the sequel of ‘Pehredaar Piya Ki’ was unveiled but with no indication of the name.

It has now come to know that the show starring Tejasswi Prakash, will be known as ‘Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya’. Even though the show has the same female lead as its predecessor, ‘Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya’ is a completely new show, with no reference to the controversial ‘Pehredaar Piya Ki’.

‘Pehredaar Piya Ki’ was embroiled in controversy for its storyline involving a ten-year old prince falling in love with a princess twice his age. A petition to pull the show off-air had been submitted to India’s media regulator, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The show was then directed by the BCCC (The Broadcasting Content Complaints Council) to move it out of the primetime slot to a later time.

‘Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya’ is expected to launch in November.
