India TV’s editorial director and senior journalist, Qamar Waheed Naqvi has resigned.
While no reason has been given for his departure, reports suggest that it is protest against an interview with Narendra Modi, which was aired on the channel a few days ago.
He was unhappy with the “fixed” Modi interview conducted by Rajat Sharma, editor-in-chief of India TV.
Ritu Dhawan, MD & CEO, India TV said, Yes, he has resigned and we have accepted his resignation. We have asked him to serve his notice period of three months.
