Security heightened at Salman Khan’s residence

Security has been tightened at Salman Khan’s residence after he was alleged to malign the Scheduled Castes during television promotions of ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’.

Reports say that a complaint was filed against Khan and also Shilpa Shetty, for referring to castes as “Bhangi” on separate shows. The complaint said that the actors used the word “Bhangi”, which is deemed to be offensive to the Valmiki community.

Apparently, Khan had used the word during promotions of the film ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, whilst referring to his dancing skills. Meanwhile, Shetty reportedly used the word to described how she looks at home.

The National Commission for Scheduled Castes is now awaiting a response from the Information and Broadcasting Ministry about the same.
