Sayani Gupta on how she bagged ‘Fan’

While casting for Maneesh Sharma’s ‘Fan’ was still in process, there was much speculation as to who would bag the actress’ role in the film. Sayani Gupta, who was last send in ‘Margarita with a Straw’ speaks about how she eventually landed the offer.

Speaking to DNA India, Gupta said, “They were trying to get in touch with me for a while on my old phone number and then finally wrote to me on FB… I was called to Shanoo’s office for an audition… Shanoo (Sharma) is known to be a star-maker and I am incredibly thankful to her and her team! But also Maneesh Sharma and Aditya Chopra for trusting her. By this time, the trailer of ‘Margarita’ had just come out, and hence the final leap of faith came from that I guess!”

Gupta will also be seen in the Ranbir Kapoor starrer, ‘Jagga Jasoos’.

‘Fan’ releases on 15th April.
