Saroj Khan peeved at Tamma Tamma Again?

The new version of popular track ‘Tamma Tamma’ has been included in the forthcoming ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’, which stars Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt. The original choreographer of the 1990 song from ‘Thanedaar’, Saroj Khan, has given her views about it, and she isn’t best pleased.

Khan was clear that she hadn’t seen the new one as yet but when prodded further she’s quoted by Mid-Day saying, “Varun is a good dancer and I know he will be able to do it [the steps] well, but I don’t know if Alia will be able to match up to Madhuri. In any case, it will be a feather in Alia’s cap”.

The original stars Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt have taken part in videos with Dhawan and Bhatt to promote the song and also maybe as a “seal of approval”. Khan added, “Maybe, they think that Masterji [referring to herself] has become old and Madhuri Dixit hasn’t. That’s why they have called her”.

Talking about the original songs, Khan said, “I told the makers I’d take a month to train Sanjay for the song and he agreed. My assistants used to go to another set to rehearse with him”.

‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ is slated for release next month,
