Saroj Khan not invited to Tamma Tamma screening

The “Tamma Tamma” song which originally featured in the classic hit ‘Thanedaar’ (1990) film, has been revived in the Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan starrer ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’, and is proving to be as popular.

In the original film Madhuri Dixit Nene and Sanjay Dutt are seen busting a few moves to the song which was choreographed by the legendary Saroj Khan. But according to Deccan Chronicle, when the new song was being shot, everyone who was originally associated with it had been invited to take part or come watch the new version, apart from Khan.

When asked why she wasn’t invited, Khan responded saying, “Why should they call me? They don’t owe me anything.”

Khan went on to say, “Maybe they felt since Madhuri was there they didn’t need me around,” she says, adding scathingly, “You have to ask them why I wasn’t invited. I don’t mind not being invited. The new version of any of my dance numbers must live up to some standard for them to invite me to watch it.”

When asked on her thoughts of the new version, Khan replies a little diplomatically, “I haven’t seen the whole song. I’ve just seen the trailer. And I can’t comment.”
