Sara Ali Khan opposite Vicky Kaushal in ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’?

Where filmmakers have continued to work on their projects throughout the pandemic, it seems director Aditya Dhar may finally be able to breathe a sigh of relief if Sara Ali Khan accepts his offer to play the lead opposite Vicky Kaushal in ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’.

According to Mid-Day, Dhar has been scouting for a leading lady for the past year. “The makers feel that Sara fits the bill. They are excited as Vicky and Sara will be a novel on-screen pairing. However, she has yet to sign on the dotted line. The shoot of Aanand L Rai’s ‘Atrangi Re’, which sees her team up with Akshay Kumar and Dhanush, was delayed due to the pandemic,” a source was reported stating.

The source went on to say, “So, Sara has to work out her dates for ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’ such that she can honour her pending commitments.”

Further news suggests Dhar plans to make this project in three parts, where the story roots to the Mahabharat.
