Sara Ali Khan: “I want to experiment with different kinds of films”

Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter Sara Ali Khan is all set to make her Bollywood debut this year. The star will be entering Bollywood with Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Kedarnath’ in which she stars alongside Sushant Singh Rajput.

The film is a love story set amidst the 2013 floods of Uttarakhand, reports Pinkvilla. Along with ‘Kedarnath,’ Sara has another release this year, Rohit Shetty’s ‘Simmba.’ She stars alongside Ranveer Singh in this mass entertainer, which will be releasing on 28th December 28. ‘Kedarnath’ and ‘Simmba’ are two very different films and in a recent interview Sara was asked about doing two different films in the same year. She answered, “I’m so glad it’s worked out this way. As an actor, I want to experiment with different kinds of films and doing a scene in the rain with Sushant was every bit as exciting as grooving to a high-energy Neha Kakkar song with Ranveer.”

She added, “In fact, there were times when after a night shoot of Simmba in Hyderabad, I’d report for Kedarnath the next morning and though the vibe on both sets was different, the minute I saw Sushant and Gattu sir, I’d start to feel like Mukku and only had to spot Ranveer and Rohit sir to become… Oops, I don’t know if I am supposed to reveale the name of my Simmba character yet! I want David Dhawan, Mr (Sanjay Leela) Bhansali Imtiaz Ali to believe that I can play the characters they have in mind because I want to work with all of them and more.”

‘Kedarnath’ is set to hit the screens on 7th December.
