Sanya Malhotra: “I am not in any rush to become anyone”

With her latest release ‘Pataakha’, Sanya Malhotra seems to be climbing up the ladder to success at a steady pace, and it seems that’s exactly how she wants to do things.

Talking to the media, the actress spoke about what she has learned since entering the film industry and how she’s using it to her advantage. “Post ‘Dangal’ (2016), I realised that patience is very important. So I am not in any rush to become anyone. I am just glad that I am an actor right now because I really wanted to be one. I am taking things positively,” Asian Age reports Malhotra expressing.

When talking about her own stardom, Malhotra added, “Nobody knows me yet. I had small hair in ‘Dangal’ and now I have grown my hair and have a new look. People say ‘you look like the ‘Dangal’ girl’. But I want people to know me. Besides I hardly go anywhere so I don’t have any pressure to look good. I go to a small gym in one corner where no one clicks me so I lead a simple life without any pressure.”

As well as making her mark, Malhotra also expressed how happy she is for her debut co-star Fatima Sana Shaikh for the opportunities that are coming her way, including the upcoming ‘Thugs of Hindostan’. “I am really happy for her and am dying to see that film. I have seen a few videos that she showed me and it turned out so well. I am so happy because we started our journey together and she is doing well. My whole ‘Dangal’ team is like a family to me. They are all special people,” Malhotra went on to say.

Looks like this is one actress who will rise to the top sooner than we expect.
