Sanjay Leela Bhansali to direct ‘Magadheera’ remake?

There was news a few months ago about the ��Magadheera�۪ (2009) remake. The Telugu film was apparently going to be remade in Hindi by Phantom Films. Now it�۪s emerged that none other than Sanjay Leela Bhansali might end up directing the film.

���It was felt by the producers that no director but Sanjay Leela Bhansali could do justice the epic scale�� of Magadheera. The film�۪s budget is expected to be approximately Rs.120 crores, which is higher than what Bhansali�۪s last epic drama Bajirao Mastani cost to make,�۝ said a source close to the project to SKJ.

It was being said that Shahid Kapoor was likely to be seen in the male lead role but one wonders whether he will remain the first choice now.
